In-house seamstress at an industrial sewing machine

In-House Alterations

Meet Susie — the miracle worker.

Every dress that leaves the shop is finished by our head seamstress, Susie. No outside referrals. No fingers crossed. The dress that leaves the shop is the dress that fits.

Why It Matters

Most shops send you elsewhere for alterations. We don't.

A wedding dress isn't done when it arrives. The bustle, the hem, the bodice, the bra cups, the train hooks — that's a second job, and a different shop usually does it badly. Ours doesn't.

"Susie is an absolute miracle worker. My dress needed major surgery and she made it look like it was made for me. Worth the appointment by itself."

— Erin M., Bride 2024

How It Works

Three fittings, one perfect dress.

  1. 01

First Fitting — 10 to 12 weeks out.

We pin, mark, and quote the work. You'll know exactly what's being done and what it costs before anything is cut.

  2. 02

Second Fitting — 6 weeks out.

Major work is done. We refine, you confirm. Final tweaks marked for the last pass.

  3. 03

Final Fitting — 1 to 2 weeks out.

Bustle practice with your maid of honor. Bra cups in. Hem confirmed in your shoes. You leave with the gown and a fit sheet for the wedding day.
